Where there is love, there is conflict. Without conflict, the value of love can hardly reveal. From 17th century to nowadays, from Italy to Hong Kong, passion remains as music re-echoes. Countless secrets of lovers are embedded in madrigals.
In Monteverdi’s largest madrigal collection Book 8, the joy of mutual affection and the war of relationship politics co-exist.
SingFest is presenting the treasures of choral music, such as Hor che’l ciel e la terra, Lamento della ninfa, Altri canti di Marte, in collaboration with Early music ensemble and German theorboist Stefan Maass.

有愛才有矛盾，有矛盾才懂得愛之可貴。從十七世紀到現在，由意大利到香港，激情尚在如音繞樑，人間無數情愛的秘密，盡收牧歌之中。
蒙台威爾第《牧歌集》中最大型的第八冊中，既有兩情相悅的快樂，又有關係的角力。聲蜚合唱節將聯同古樂團及德國西爾伯琴家馬斯范（Stefan Maass），為你呈獻《天地風默然》、《神女悼詞》、《他人歌頌戰神》等合唱音樂瑰寶，一起思索情為何物。
