Choral Leadership Training Camp for Secondary Students | 22-29 Jul

Nourish young choral leaders with all-round and innovative education opportunities

 

• Learn to sing and lead madrigals with expressiveness and torso awareness

• Perform English madrigals in SingFest’s professional choral theatre production "Remembrance of things past" under the music direction of Paul Phoenix and stage direction of Patrick Chiu

• Receive music, leadership and physical training led by experienced artists

• Connect with choral leaders from different schools to build up bonds and friendship

• Rehearsal period: May to Jul 2018

• Camp period: 22 to 29 Jul 2018 (Sun to Sun; 8-night-7-day)

• Campsite: The Education University of Hong Kong

• Camp fee: HK$2,900 (covers accommodation, shuttle service and lesson materials)

Requirements:

• Eager to sing English madrigals and perform from memory

• Attend the Voice Exam on 29 Apr (Sun)

• Attend weekly rehearsals from May to Jul: all Sundays (2-5pm) from 6 May to 15 Jul (except 10, 17 Jun); Tuesdays (6:30-9pm) on 3, 10, 17 Jul

• Attend all activities from 22 to 28 Jul (Sun to Sun)

• Perform in staged performances on 28 Jul (Sat) at Multi-media Theatre, HKICC Lee Shau Kee School of Creativity

• Recommendation by school teacher is required

• Applicants may be required to attend an audition
